What is Airsoft?
Airsoft is a sport that started in japan about 1970 and later went to china, and Britain then the world. It is a game close to paintball but with more realistic replica's that are non-lethal scale model guns that are Co2, spring, AEG (automatic electric gun), or gas/propane powered. Airsoft guns can be bought in many ways from online to a retailing walk-in store in large cities. They are not leathal but face protection is recommended outdoor and required in a field. How they test the strength of the gun is with the FPS (feet per second) which the 6mm ball is traveling. A low FPS that would be used for CQB (close quarters battle) is 200-340 FPS, field FPS is from 350-390 FPS and anything higher than 400 FPS should be either field, or competition shooting/training, but some indoor arenas allow this FPS to be used.
What is AirSplat Army?
AirSplat Army is a large group of airsoft teams started by a very large AirSoft Retailer called AirSplat. What AirSplat did was to have City's with AirSoft communities create these groups or teams to go and start airsofting for the name of AirSplat, AirSplat Army, and your AirSplat Army team. But to become part of a team you had to ask your city's AirSplat Army team leader. There is only one team aloud per city.

You can find more information like local AirSplat Army teams at www.airsplat.com or click the in link at the bottom.
